We weren’t very confident when we started the Horizon T81 Treadmill and it seemed that we were right. The machine is budget one and is far from what we’ve expected for the price paid.
The Horizon T81 Treadmill features a decent 2.0 CHP motor and can provide a normal top speed and incline. So far so good, but then we saw the belt. It has only 50 inches in length which make this machine unusable for running.
In rest, the T81 has decent but budget features like: 8 preset programs, a blow fan and the heart contact grip.

Conclusion Horizon T81 Treadmill review
The performance and features of this treadmill sustain the idea that it can be used only for walking workouts. This is clearly a machine that is made for beginners that look for a budget solution.
The motor provide only 2.0 CHP which may be more than enough if you only want to walk but the power is under the running requirements. Anyway the noise level is pretty low and that’s a big plus.
What we didn’t like is the length of the belt: 50 inches. Just by adding 5 inch in plus they could dramatic change the machine ratings. But for now we just say that this is big minus. The small belt situation is somehow saved by superior cushioning systems that use the COMFORTzone Air CELL technology.
The console features 8 built in workouts (one is a custom) that can add enough variety to your training sessions. There are no other training features but this machine is budget one after all.
There is also a blow out fan and a contact grip heart monitoring system. The fan doesn’t have enough power and the monitoring system doesn’t offer accurate readings all the time. We are not really surprised because these are well known problems for these features and you will see them on other model and brands.
The warranty is not a good one: only one year for parts and labor. Don’t forget to get the extend warranty if you decide to buy this model.
After the Horizon T81 Treadmill review we can say that this is definitely not a success model. It’s true, is budget machine, but we are sure you can get better deals on other brands or models.
