The Horizon T500 treadmill is budget machine that will suite only the basic users. The machine comes with 2.0 CHP motor that is very quiet and that offer enough power for a walker and maybe a light jogger.

This machine has a big problem. The belt size is too short(only 50 inches).So if you are planning to run or you are a tall person look for another model. This one is not for you.

1. Speed: 0-10 mph
The Horizon T500 comes with a top speed of 10 mph that can easy be set via 10 side buttons.

2. Inclination: 0-10%
The maximum elevation for the T500 model is 10 degrees. This value can be reach using the ten control buttons located on the console side

3. Motor
This treadmill features a quietly and powerful 2.0 CHP motor. This motor has a 25 years warranty and can easily sustain any type of training.

4. Belt 20” x 50”
The Horizon T500 Treadmills has a running space that is big enough (20’’x50’’) for most strides. The machine comes also with a TriFLex deck cushioning that will provide better shock abortion and support.

5. Warranty
Horizon provides a lifetime warranty for the frame, a 25 years one for the motor and a one year warranty for parts and labor.

ETRAK
This treadmill features the ETRAK system that will capture all the important workout data. After that he will display statistics about the current, last and average workouts.

9 preset programs
The T500 model features 9 built in workouts like that are focused on weight loss, fitness or performance. Some of these programs are : Weight loss program, power walk or incline workout. All these programs are tracked by ETRAK system.

Built in speakers
This Horizon model comes with built in speakers (in the console) with in & out jacks and a mp3 pocket.

The Horizon T500 Treadmill can sustain a maximum user weight of 275 lbs.

The Horizon T500 has also the following functions and features: Large, heavy frame, Clear LED screens display, contact heart rate grips and Hydraulic lift assist.

Conclusion Horizon T500 Treadmill review

First of all we need to underline the fact that this treadmill is a budget machine. That means you will not pay much but you also will not get too much.

The motor is a 2.0 CHP which is enough for walkers or light runners. We liked the fact that is not making too much noise but in the same time we observed that it doesn’t have enough power to keep up with a runner.

The belt is something we didn’t appreciate.If the cushioning system is allright for the budget category the walking area is way too short.If you plan only to walk you should be ok but do not think you can jog or run on this machine.It simply not build for such thing.

Also we didn’t push this machine so far but it seems that the 275lb maximum user weight is an exaggerated value.

This treadmill has some strong points also. These are the Etrack systems that will monitor your workouts and provide you will usefull information.We also liked the mp3 dock and the 9 built in programs.

In conclusion: The Horizon T500 treadmill is a budget machine made ONLY for walkers. And even so you can find better alternatives that will do the same thing but better. If you still want to get this model take the extend warranty.
