Overall this unit comes with great value and we highly recommend it.

Conclusion for Lifespan TR 3000 treadmill review

It seems that Lifespan did it again. The TR 3000 is one of the best machines you can buy for $1500.

This unit comes with a 2.75 CHP motor that is very quiet and backed by a lifetime warranty. The running area is a generous one (has 56’’ inches in length) and comes with 8 variable density elastomers. This system works very well and provides the much needed shock protection.

The console has a slick design and we like the futuristic look of the matrix display. The controls are easy accessible and in plus there are speed & incline keys mounted on handlebars.

The TR 3000 model comes with six incline and five preset workouts that have three different intensity levels. In plus there are two My Zone Heart Rate Control programs and a Body Mass Analysis.

Since this is a one of the best machines we tested so far we don’t have anything bad to say. The quality of the materials is excellent, the whole assemble is solid and in plus it comes with an impressive warranty.

As a conclusion for Lifespan TR3000 treadmill review: you can buy this machine with the eyes closed. You will not be disappointed.

PS: In the end we realized that we wished a 60’’ long belt. Many other inferior models have such belt so why not this one.

Lifespan TR 500 Treadmill review

The LifeSpan TR 500 doesn’t look to good when you look over the technical specs. The motor has only 1.75 CHP and the belt is too short for our taste. But after you try it you realize that this is a good machine even if will suite only a walker needs.

The TR 500 comes with plenty of built in workouts that will make training more fun. Unfortunately since this is budget machine you will not find a sound system, an mp3 dock or even a cool-down fan.

Overall the Lifespan is not such a bad machine and can be a reliable solution for the ones that do only walking workouts.

Also, the TR 500 Treadmill comes also with these features: a heavy-gauge steel-welded frame, EZ Drop folding, oversized blue backlit display and an EKG Pulse Grip system.

Conclusion for Lifespan TR 500 treadmill review

The Lifespan TR 500 Treadmill is budget machine and you can see this just by looking the technical specs. The machine comes with a 1.75 CHP motor that will not have the necessary power to sustain running sessions. However the motor has plenty of power if you plan to do only walking workouts.

The belt size is a small to medium one. The length of the walking space is only 52 inches which is pretty low for a runner but enough for a walker. The belt dimension combined with the motor power makes us think that TR 500 was designed only for walking.

What we liked at this machine is the variety of training features. LifeSpan has a different approach than the companies we reviewed so far when is about the built in workouts.

The rest of the companies installed workouts that were focused on weight loss, fitness or performance. Lifespan put incline and speed workouts. We think this is just a marketing move since these programs are pretty much the same but hey… they have a new and fancy name.

In rest: the console has a nice design, the blue display is cool and there are no entertainment features or built in fans. The warranty is not a good one but is pretty much the same as for all the budget machines.

As a Conclusion for Lifespan TR 500 treadmill review: This machine is definitely one made for walkers and for the ones that have under 1k to spend. With all that this treadmill is not a bad deal. If you are planning for walking or light jogging you can consider this model also. If you have higher expectation … move on.

Lifespan TR 1000 Treadmill review

The Lifespan TR 1000 treadmill features a 2.0 CHP motor that may seem powerless when in fact has more than enough energy to run the whole assemble. The machine comes also with a generous running area and a very good suspension / cushioning system.

The console is not a very advanced one but will do the job. It has a large blue backlit display and let you chose between 11 preset & one custom program. The system comes also with a Weight Management and a Heart Health feature.

The Lifespan TR 1000 treadmill is definitely a top machine for the budget class. If you are looking to spend less than $1000 and buy a folding treadmill then you should seriously consider this model.

Conclusion for Lifespan TR 1000 treadmill review

This is definitely one of the best machines we’ve seen so far for under $1000 category. The Lifespan TR 1000 features a 2.0 CHP motor that offers the much needed power. Yes it says that has only 2.0 CHP but this motor act like a 3.0 one.

The running space is also a generous one. You get a belt that has 20 inches wide and 56 inches long. For $1000 is the best you can get. The suspension system (aka cushioning system – Lifespan loves to reinvent the wheel) is formed by eight Variable Density Elastomers that will offer a good joint protection.

The console has a decent design, nothing ugly or too fancy and it features a My Zone Heart Rate Control program and a Body Mass Analysis. Also, there are 6 incline and 5 speed programs. The training information is showed on a nice large blue backlit display.

What we didn’t like is the lack of quick speed & incline buttons. Most of the producers put those buttons on the side bar. If the treadmill has a top speed of 10 mph you have 10 quick speed control buttons. One for the 1 mph speed, another one for the 2 mph speed and so on.

These controls are very appreciated by all users but in our case Lifespan put only 4 such controls. Not a deal breaker but definitely something they can improve..

This machine is one of the best in the budget class. The core parts may be the best on the market but the whole assemble has a good value.

As a conclusion for the Lifespan TR 1000 treadmill review: If you have a $1000 to buy a treadmill put this model on top of the list. The TR 1000 is not the most charming machine but your money will be well spent.

Lifespan TR 2000 Treadmill Special features

Up and Downhill Walking
This is a rare feature but a very interesting one. The TR 200 treadmill gives you the option to do both up and downhill workouts. There are 10 levels for the incline and 5 levels for decline. You hill interval training will become much more interesting now that you can run downhill.

Open-Deck Design
The TR 2000 unit benefits from a very clever design. Lifspan installed the motor under the frame and saved a lot of floor space with this move. That’s why this model is one that doesn’t need a lot of space.

Intelli-Guard technology
This is a unique piece of technology. This treadmill will “feel” when your foot no longer strike the belt and will shut down the machine to prevent any possible injuries.

The Lifespan TR 2000 Treadmill can support a max user weight of 350 lbs LB.

Conclusion for Lifespan TR 2000 treadmill review

We had high hopes before starting to test this machine. In most of the situation this treadmill had what a top unit needs to have and beyond. But unfortunately “most” doesn’t mean “all”.

This unit was very close to enter the top 3 treadmill for under $1500 class but it stopped at the gates. Let’s see why.

First of all the motor has only 2.5 CHP. It has enough power for walking or light jogging but it need a little more horse power to satisfy a runner. The same logic applies for the speed and elevation system. A walker/jogger will be satisfied with a top speed of 10 mph, a runner will want more.

Now the cool part: This machine has an incline of only 10 degrees which is a low value when you compare it with the top models. But do these to units have a decline system?

This feature blew our minds. We pushed those buttons like 10 times to make sure we are not dreaming. This unit really has a decline system and it works perfectly. We did some hill training (with up and downs) and we were completely satisfied.

If you read other reviews on this site you probably noticed that we are not big fans of the folding systems. It’s simply because in most of the cases the folding treadmill doesn’t save too much space. You end up have a big piece of metal that is not on the floor but near the wall. Well is not the case here.

Lifespan had an ingenious idea and mounted the motor under the frame. This move made the machine smaller and saved a lot of floor space. Every time you fold this treadmill you will win some space.

The preset workouts offer a large variety for your training sessions. There is a decline program, a My Zone Program (targets a specific heart zone) and two Custom User Programs.

There are no entertainment features like speakers or mp3 dock but the warranty is a good one and gives a lifetime guarantee for motor and 5 years for parts.

As a conclusion for Lifespan TR 2000 treadmill review: Unfortunetly this unit has some misses on core features. Because of that it cannot enter our top 3 for under $1500 treadmills. However this is a very good training machine for walkers and light joggers .It also comes with one of the most exotic features: the decline system.

Even if is not one of the top treadmill this machine is the best when is about saving space. We cannot award this unit for the overall performance but we can say: This is best space saver treadmill for under $1500.
